Capsaicin? Wasn’t that a Narnian prince?

Not exactly. You’re thinking Caspian. And although that was a great book, this may be even better – at least from a weight loss perspective.

Here’s the deal capsaicin is the chemical found in all hot peppers. Researcher have found that adding spice to food may increase your metabolism. In controlled clinical studies (ie not real world results) capsaicin was shown to destroy fat cells before they could even form.

Now, that is good new for dieters.

It is not conclusive if that will help in diets specifically. But I can attest to results in my personal life. I can not give any direct statistic on how much it helps, but I can say that hot spices do what they do best and heat up the body. That additional body activity in my opinion – non expert as it may be – is going to be at least helpful.

And unless you have an ulcer there is no harm in eating spicy food so bring on the heat and watch for the weight loss!

Yes capsaicin has great medical value. It is also used to releive pain like joint pain etc.. But any ulcer patient should used to a minimal value
