Supplement Review #1: Isagenix Shakes

first off, let me say that I am not a doctor. So take this with a grain of salt. I do not want to talk nutritional specifics. I think they are boring for most people and hence do not make very interesting blogging topics.

What I do what to do is talk about my real weight loss experiences with this Isagenix products.

If you want the nutritional details you can read them here.

Here is the bottom line. I lost weight, and was not hungry. And it even tasted good.

I know, I know, now you know I’m lying. Until I said that last one you were willing to believe me but now I must be lying. So let me qualify that by saying that it is the best shake that I have tasted. And I have sampled dozens.

It is extremely thick. The fiber soaks up so much water that if you do not add enough it will look like one of those DQ Blizzards that they used to turn upside down just to show you how thick they were. I kid you not, I have done this once with an Isagenix shake. I added a little less water than called for because I had added some ice. By the time I was done blending the shake was so think and so cold that I had to eat it with a spoon!

Anyway, the fiber in the shakes is really great at filling up the stomach. I can drink one and not have any food cravings for hours. That to me is the real test. Some of the shakes I have had are so low on fiber that they are practically just protein water. Not only do they not taste that great, but within an hour I’m hugery again.

I supposed if I were a huge body builder and needed to pack in the protein this would be a great idea. But for those of us who need to lose the weight needing to eat again is not an ideal position to be in.

But the shakes are not just about filling up the stomach  – even though they do a great job of that – they are about total health and wellness. They are packed with all the right proteins, vitamins and nutrients needed in order to sustain a healthy weight loss regime and keep it off.

All of this makes them my product of choice for a meal repalcement supplement.

Good to know… Scott's doctor recommended he do these shakes and we are meeting with the lady who sells them on Sunday… I'd never heard of them before so it's good to know that someone I know has tried and tested them and has good things to say. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Liz, I've been very impressed. I hope they work great for Scott. It would be great to have him post his results here as well. Keep me posted on that!

I'll have to check these out. I really do very well with products with a lot of protein and less carbs so I will have to see the ingredients. I do love mixing chocolate shakes up with frozen bananas. Mmm yum!

Informative article. Great info about using Isagenix shakes for weight loss effectively. Personally I didn't have much idea it. Thanks. Look forward to reading more of your posts in future too.

I have tried this product. It is very good in taste and has rich fiber content. It also relieves constipation. Great explanation.

its very interesting and informative article I have been very inspiring and they worked for Scott its very nice

What flavor were you drinking? I assume there ARE different flavors. Is there a rich chocolatey one? That's just what I'm used to. Haven't really tried any other “health” shake flavors. I have a protein shake every morning, mixed up in some soy-milk. Have you tried blending this product with soy?
