The Bruce Springsteen song also comes to mind, about Glory Days. He makes
the comment that he hopes that when he is old he will not be the one hanging
out only living life in the past. We should not pretend that they did not
happen. It is part of our life - but we have to move into the present to
really appreciate not only the future, but to better appreciate what we
really had.

The past can only be truly understood and enjoyed by living in the present.

Thanks for the comments as always.

Matthew Stearmer
