Weight Loss Reality Check

Let me first state that I am not a doctor – not that kind anyway (I’m working on the other kind) – I’m just a guy that has tried all sorts of diets and weight loss strategies and just really enjoys the science and art of weight loss. So before you take any of this too seriously be sure to talk to an expert on the subject and make sure that my advice is not going to kill you. Fair enough?

Now, if your like me you’re not just a little overweight. I was a lot over weight. In fact I’m still not where I want to be. And also like me, it may be really annoying to see skinny people telling you how to be skinny – sorry gene therapy is just not an option for me.

I’ve always wanted someone to show me how it works when the glory days are so far way you cannot even imagine them any more. That person would have been a real inspiration to me. But realistically I just have not found it.

Oh there is body for life, and that is impressive – but how many of them looked THAT bad to begin with. Very few seem to have needed to lose more than 20-40 lbs of fat. Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m impressed with what they have accomplished. I’m was just so far past that point when I began (needing to lose about 100 lbs) that if I only had 20-40 lbs left I’d have been ecstatic!

On the other end there are those who needed to lose more than 100 lbs. And they did it. Which is also amazing. But I look at their pictures and think – ‘sorry, but you’ve still got a long ways to go’. Again, I do not want to take away from what they did, but I do not want to still look fat after busting my but to get into shape. Isagenix is a great example here. It is a great product to help you lose weight – but there is more to being in shape than just weight loss.

So, with out trying to be too much of a braggart I’m going to set out to be that example. And a long the way I want to share my success and failures, tips and tricks and ultimately maybe become the best example many of you may have to getting a weight loss plan to actually work.

There is a method behind all of the post. Everything basically focuses on weight loss, but each day cover a new topic. As you find thing interesting, or if you just want to post feel more than free to do so. I welcome all the comments and I do read all of the posts, so if there is something you would like to hear more about, leave a comment and I will for sure get to it.

Without further adieu here is the schedule

Monday: This is my accountability day. Each Friday I will have posted my weekend goals. Today I report how I did not them. This helps me to get over the weekend temptation to binge. You are welcome to post your own goals on the Friday comment section and then post your successes and struggles in the weight loss department here on Monday with me.

Tuesday: This is the work out day. I will highlight different exercises that I use regularly with good results and I will test some other that I come across that I think might be useful, or some you might want to avoid. The point is to share with you those things that will help you achieve the most productive weight loss results in the least amount of time.

Wednesday: This is recipe night. I love to eat. And I will share with you the most delicious recipes that I have found and created that have also helped me lose weight.

Thursday: On Thursdays I will report on supplement news. I’m always trying new products and I will share with those that work and those I think are bust.

Friday: I will post my weekend goals and tips that I will follow over the weekend. This will help me and you keep on track over the temptation filled weekends.

Saturday: Basically whatever I feel like. Related to weight loss of course. But it will be a smörgåsbord of topics

Sunday: Basically whenever and whatever I feel like. They will not be frequent and likely not on weight loss, but I hope that they will be helpful to life in general.

Best of luck in accomplishing your goals.
